Information for teachers from schools and colleges

St George's works closely with schools and further education providers to raise the aspirations of young people from all areas of society and inform them about career opportunities in medicine and healthcare. These activities include:

• a variety of spring and summer schools held at St George’s
• clinical skills days - a specially designed programme of activities to give participants an insight into studying medicine and healthcare subjects
• student tutoring in local primary and secondary schools
• Experiments Roadshows delivered in state schools and colleges across London

Through these activities St George’s reached around 3,500 young people during the 2009/10 academic year. Read more about widening participation at St George's.
