Typical week

Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) UCAS code: B940

There is a notional 40-hour learning week. This is not intended to be a restriction on study or the range of enquiry, but is a minimum benchmark for what is generally required in terms of weekly workload.

Each module has a set number of learning hours within which the educational objectives for that module should be met. Also, to allow independent study time, each semester has a maximum of half of its allocated time as contact teaching. Therefore, in any one week (regardless of how many modules are running concurrently) there will usually be no more than 20 hours of contact teaching for you.
