The practical component to this course is the Competence in Specialist Social Work Practice with Adults Portfolio which underpins all studies undertaken in this stage of the programme. It is delivered in collaboration with employers and representatives of users of social work services and carers and aims to promote effective integration of employment and professional requirements. Students attend regular themed sessions at the University and work with their manager and their mentor/assessor to develop their Specialist Practice Portfolio and reflective analyses of assessed practice.
