Course overview
This interprofessional masters course is ideal for children's nurses, health visitors, midwives and other practitioners working within maternity and children's services.
The focus of the course includes global concerns about maternal and child health and will enable you to explore issues surrounding the health and social care of women, children and young people, while considering your own unique role in service improvement.
You will explore the impact of government policies on the provision of care and if you wish to take the full MSc you can research, in depth, a specific area of maternal and child health-related provision and care through your dissertation.
This course will enable you to enhance your critical and analytical skills within your own workplace. You will learn to apply the theories and concepts underpinning your own areas of practice.
Standalone modules are available if you would like a taster of studying at masters level before committing to the whole programme. Read more about the modules in the course details section.
