Duration: Part-time over a maximum period of five years
Location: Split between Kingston University and St George's, University of London
Attendance: One day a week
Assessment: Assessment methods will vary but may include oral presentations, reports, portfolio development and a dissertation.

The Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences teaches this course. It is a unique partnership between Kingston University and St George's, University of London.
Course outline
This course is suitable for any experienced healthcare practitioner who wishes to advance their level of knowledge and skills within their own field. It will enable you to respond to new roles and ways of working in practice.
The course is an ideal way to enhance your career once you have gained experience in a healthcare role and would like to develop further within your own specialist area. You can study a general aspect of practice or alternatively choose from four specialist routes:
- Advanced Practice - Psychosocial Interventions
- Advanced Practice - Prescribing
- Advanced Practice - Cancer
- Advanced Practice - Cancer, Clinical Reasoning and Decision Making
The course also offers an opportunity to work towards professional competencies (eg NMC) and you will also undertake work-based learning projects.
Depending on your experience you may also be able claim exemptions from certain parts of the course.
