Immigration information
In March 2009, the UK immigration rules for students changed and the student category became Tier 4 of the Points Based Immigration System (PBS). If you do not hold a British passport and are from outside the EEA or Switzerland and want to come to the UK to study with us, you will need to apply to the UK immigration authorities in your home country for entry clearance (that is a visa) under Tier 4 before you travel to the UK to commence your studies. Please note that you cannot apply for a Tier 4 visa more than three months before the start of your placement.
Please refer to the guidance on the Tier 4 visa application process.
If you do require a Tier 4 visa, we would advise that you do not make an appointment with the immigration authority until we have confirmed that you have satisfied all of our entry requirements. Until all of the entry requirements are met, we cannot issue you with the CAS number, necessary for your Tier 4 visa application.
