Vaccine Institute

The St George's Vaccine Institute is an independent academic institution. It opened in 1996 as a combined clinical, scientific and educational facility, and has a focus on diseases of poverty that afflict populations in underdeveloped and resource-poor areas. The institute has gained more than £5million in grants to conduct a series of human clinical trials of vaccines targeted at the most underprivileged members of the world community.
