Congratulations to the class of 2011!!

Hundreds of students have graduated from St George's and will now take their place amongst the next generation of doctors, scientists and healthcare professionals.

The graduates received their awards from Principal Professor Peter Kopelman at the ceremony at London 's Barbican. Around 540 graduands donned mortars and gowns to receive their awards and crown all their hard work.

Professor Kopelman told graduands: "This is your day, which I hope you will remember for a long time hence. My wish is that as alumni you will continue to feel part of the university and will keep in touch. You are, may I remind you, part of the St George’s family and very much its future; the presentation ceremony today demonstrates the confidence we place in you."

Degree awards were given to graduates on the MBBS four and five year courses, the BSc in Biomedical Science, the BSc in Biomedical Informatics, and those studying intercalated BSc degrees at St George's .

Postgraduate certificates and diplomas were also awarded, as well as MRes and MSc courses and research postgraduate awards.

We at the Alumni Association would like to join Professor Kopelman in congratulating the class of 2010, and officially welcome you to your Alumni Association.
