Financial summary

The University made a surplus of £2.5M in 2015/16 with income of £85.5M and costs of £82.1M.

Most of our income comes from government grants and tuition fees, with the increased income from tuition fees over the past few years being offset by a reduction in government grants.

Our biggest expenditure is on staff to undertake and support our teaching and research activities.
