About the Unit

The Widening Participation Unit at St George’s has a well-deserved reputation for innovation and impact.

As the only medical and healthcare specialist institution, we are well placed to take a leading role in supporting and encouraging widening participation in this area.

Disseminating Best Practice

Our experienced staff are regularly involved in seminars, conferences and lecture tours to discuss issues around social inclusion, fair access, admissions, WP project management and medical/healthcare professionalism. We are also strongly involved in academic research around areas of Widening Participation and Social Inclusion. Please feel free to contact the WPU for further information.
