STUDY AIMS

1. To establish a case-control DNA database in young and middle aged Caucasian lacunar stroke, which will then be made available to all interested researchers.

2. To use this unique resource to investigate the role of specific candidate genes in lacunar stroke, and in future also perform genome wide association scans.
